The Rock XL is the larger version of the award winning 85 Rock designed and engineered by Vripack Yacht Design. Coming in at 237 tonnes at full load this is a true global cruiser boasting a full displacement steel hull & 3,000nm range.

Vripack Yacht Design has created a very capable yacht in a manageable package allowing the owners to access every port in the world and even enter those more remote locations with ease.

The Rock XL is a modern day explorer that is not only capable but is designed with ease of access to the water with her multipurpose transom layout, and large use of glass both in the hull & superstructure. Guests get the feeling of being one with nature with her exterior deck spaces including upper deck crows nest with small pool and lounge area, open main deck, and jacuzzi back aft near the water line. A true alfresco design that will remain timeless for years to come.

Her decks are configured in a non-traditional arrangement with 'half decks' thus allowing guests to flow from one area to the next with ease. Incorporating glass into the superstructure and you get a wonderful layout with a zen inspired design.

Under the waterline, only excessive parts of welds are ground down in such a way that welding beads will have smooth appearance.

All steel surfaces are freed from spot welds and welding spatters; superficial damage to plate surfaces are welded up and ground smooth; sharp plate edges are ground smooth (edge-braking).

Prior to paint application, all steel work of the entire hull inside and outside (with the exception of tanks and other fully enclosed parts) will be swiped-blasted to clean the steelwork from burning and welding residues, rust and other fouling and moreover to obtain a proper paint anchoring surface.

Steel piping in general will be painted with the same system as the ambient steel structure.
