Painted in the same head-turning metallic Champagne color scheme as her “mothership” this sleek sexy boat also offers performance. Her “Slot V” hull offers a ride unlike anything else in a Vee Bottom. The MTI-V 42 hull design utilizes twin keels, similar to a catamaran, yielding straight, stable, and predictable handling at all speeds. For added safety there are handrails around the boat.

The step design also ventilates the hull and traps a boundary layer of air under the hull and between the twin keels. The added bow flare allows for an extremely dry ride even in extreme conditions in both head and following seas.

The large hardtop protects you from the elements while the other seating allows for plenty of sunning space around the boat. There is a cabin below with a double bed.

The layout of the 42 is friendly and inviting with lots of seating forward, center, and aft. Walking on board you step onto a cushioned flooring. There is a cabin below with head and sink.

There are two rows of fold-down/stand-up bolster-style seats (6) in the helm area with perfectly positioned footrests, grab handles, and drink holders for when the throttle gets pushed down. This area is protected by a large carbon fiber hardtop and windshield.

The helm station console is perfectly laid out with Garmin electronics, a steering wheel, control buttons, and a dash blower.

Forward of the central cabin there are two very comfortable cushioned sun loungers. The contoured design cradles you comfortably and provides an extra feeling of security at cruising speeds, fitted with flip up-and-down armrests and drink holders. Moving forward there is U-shaped bow seating with a high-low table, cup holders, and cushion.

Behind the helm bolster seating is a large, insulated cooler, and just forward of the transom is a side boarding door and an L-shape lounge with backrests and storage underneath.

The cabin is accessed by a large door in the console that provides easy access to the cabin and opens with ease thanks to custom-designed hinges. The cabin features air-conditioning, a refrigerator, a large forward double berth mattress, a round glass sink, a skylight, and a concealed electric flush head with a cover. When not in use the rear of the bed folds up to create a limo-style seat for riding.

Storage in an abundance around this boat from the space in the gunnel to store bumpers and dock lines, trash lockers that hinge out, storage under most all seating.

Bow and Stern Thruster

A jet-style bow thruster system with a jet that has 2.5” nozzles on each side of the bow for less drag and less weight, rather than a 10-inch hole running through the bow with a blade and motor that sounds like a blender. It’s fed by an intake pump in the center of the boat. It may cost twice what the traditional bow thrusters do, but the benefits of the jet system outweigh the cost.

With anchor locker storage, MTI utilizes a unique anchor design with a bow plate assembly. This allows the anchor to sit very close to the bow of the boat, which looks nice, does not rattle, and is easy to use.

The MTI-V 42 is not built like other manufacturers’ center consoles. This model is epoxy, foam-cored, and post-cured, all built with true vacuum bagging processes. The foam core is incorporated with a two-inch core in the bottom, and one inch in the hull sides. MTI vacuum bag the entire laminate and foam core to achieve the proper resin-to-glass ratio, which provides strength and weight control. Epoxy is not easy to work with as it takes more time to cure and costs more than GP or Vinylester Resins.

Overhead, the hard top is laminated in vacuum-bagged carbon fiber with a sandwiched aluminum inner structure. This unique hard top is large enough not only to cover those at the console but for those riding in the second row of seats.
