Mechanical Upgrades and Services

• Zeus Pod drive upgrade that reduces the operating temperature of the transmission by 25-30 degrees and eliminates pod overheating issue. May 2023.
• New transmissions and actuator seals installed November 2023. Transmissions under warranty until November 2024.
• Fuel tank liners and inspection/cleanout added to both fuel tanks. 2022
• Replaced House Batteries (2021), Generator (2021) and Engine Batteries (2023)
• Removal and service of heat exchangers and after coolers on both engines every three years (often referred to as 1000-hour service). Last performed in October 2022.
• Replacement of both heat exchangers on pod drives every three years. Last performed October 2021.
• Fan Belt replacement every 3 years. Last performed September 2023
• Replacement of pod lower unit seals every 600 hours. Last performed November 2023
• Bottom glass bead blasted, and new epoxy base coat added in 2020.
• Props removed, balanced and prop speed coated in 2022.
• Shafts reconditioned in 2020.

Scheduled Services

Maintenance since new has exceeded recommendations from both Mercury and Cummins. Full annual maintenance has included the following:

• Engine oil, oil filter, zincs, impeller, and fuel filter changes
• Generator oil, oil filter, zinc, impeller, and fuel filter change
• Zeus pod drive transmission fluid change, steering actuator fluid and filter change, and transmission fluid change.
• Zinc replacement each year.
• Diver cleaning and inspection each month
• Twice yearly A/C inspection and service
• Weekly cleaning, quarterly waxing, and buffing
