Designed for world cruising, her systems were engineered to be reliable, uncomplicated and easily serviceable. Watermark’s specifications reveal that no expense was spared in building this vessel to the highest standards and with the finest materials and equipment available. A walk through this yacht makes one appreciate the obvious experience of the owners, designers, and builders and the investment in time and resources put forth to execute such a fine and classic motor yacht. This custom yacht is an exception in her class and will always be highly regarded for her quality of design and construction.
Surveyor’s comments in the most recent condition and valuation survey states “It is the opinion of the undersigned that the vessel was built to the highest prevailing standards of the North American yacht building industry. Further, it is the opinion of the undersigned that the vessel has no relationship in terms of quality or capability to production or semi-production vessels of similar size, far exceeding them in both respects.”
This is a custom designed, engineered, and custom constructed motor yacht. Vessel owners reportedly instructed the Naval Architect to design a sea-kindly hull form, intended for extended offshore cruising with a range capable of crossing the Atlantic Ocean without refueling. Therefore, the structure was reportedly designed and engineered for the rigors of the open ocean, with structural engineering based upon American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Rules for Building and Classing Motor Pleasure Yachts (the vessel is however, not Classed) An additional reported requirement of vessel owners was that the vessel could be voyaged and handled by an able bodied couple, without additional crew. Resultingly, labor saving mechanical systems and equipment were incorporated into the design and construction, as well as redundancy in various critical systems.
