Yo Ho Ho and a Superyacht!
Want a truly unique luxury motor yacht? How about one modeled after a pirate ship!
As the song goes, “Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate’s life for me!” The naval architects with Italy’s Lazzarini Design Studio seems to have taken that a little more literally than most. The exterior design of their latest $200 million concept superyacht is based on a pirate ship from the 1600s!
The 200-foot vessel is called Caronte, and she is certainly the embodiment of the Lazzarini’s motto, which is, “Think about the future, never forget the past.”
You may not find any cannons or buccaneers on board, but according to a recent report by Fox News, what you will find is a yacht equipped to accommodate up to 12 families, that features a swimming pool and lounge area with sunbeds on the main deck, plus a gym, garage and bar area. Like the pirate ships of yore, Caronte’s command cabin is located on the upper structure of the boat, which is where the captain’s room and balcony can be found.
As of now, the “pirate yacht” is only in the conceptual rendering phase. Lazzarini says they will hold off green lighting the project, and actually begin construction of the new vessel, until someone expresses interest in purchasing her.
We recently reported about Jackie Chan’s new yacht, I wonder if fellow action film star, Johnny Depp, is in the market for a new yacht, and reads these pages. If so, I think we have spotted the perfect yacht for Captain Jack Sparrow!
