Yacht Charter DestinationThe French RivieraExperience
The French Riviera (or Côte d’Azur, en français) is the Mediterranean coast of southeastern France. It includes such glamorous locales as Saint-Tropez, Cannes, and Monaco.
From the 18th century to the 1960s, the French Riviera morphed from a health retreat for wealthy Parisians to a full-blown global destination for aristocrats, artists, and actors. It remains a stylish hot spot to this very day.
MONTE CARLO BEACH
The French Riviera is famous for its ultra-fashionable “see and be seen” beaches – and none are more so than Monte Carlo Beach, once a favorite of Princess Grace. The water is gorgeous and, frankly, so are the people. Between July and August are when things REALLY heat up on the beach.
PROMENADE DES ANGLAIS, NICE
There are few things as invigorating as walking along the coast of Nice on the Promenade des Anglais. Needless to say the restaurants & cafes are among the best in the world – and so is the shopping. While the beach along the promenade is not “sandy” per se, it’s still an amazing spot to enjoy the day.
BACCARAT AT THE CASINO DE MONTE-CARLO
Okay, you don’t HAVE to play baccarat…there are plenty of other table games to play; but, of course, baccarat was James Bond’s game of choice at this legendary casino. Just remember to bring your formal wear and a passport. We also recommend bringing wire instructions – some of our clients have gotten very, very lucky at at the Casino de Monte-Carlo.
MUSÉE PICASSO IN ANTIBES
Built, on the site of the original Greek Acropolis, the Musée Picasso came about when the legendary artist himself was invited to use this newly-restored castle as a studio in 1946. During that summer, Picasso created several memorable works, though the museum wasn’t officially opened for another 20 years. Fast forward to today, and there are now 245 paintings, ceramics, and drawings by Pablo Picasso on display (as well as by some other notable artists).
LE CAFÉ IN ST-TROPEZ
Le Café has been getting people their caffeine fix since 1789, and, amazingly, not much as changed with this legendary St-Tropez establishment in the last two hundred years. Pot-roasted chicken, mussels, and grilled fish can still be found on the menu, and the décor would look awfully familiar to a 19th century time traveler. Mark this one down as a “must see”.
CHÈVRE D’OR IN SAINT-JEAN-CAP-FERRAT
Chèvre D’Or is not only an extraordinary Michelin-starred restaurant, it’s also one of the best places to catch the sunset on the French Riviera. Located in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (or Cap Ferrat, if you want to be cool about it), Chèvre D’Or complements the amazing views by offering one of the best wine selections to be found on this planet. But be careful – the drive up to this legendary restaurant can be quite treacherous. No worries, though. Your crew can arrange car service for you & your guests.
