Based in China, 90 minutes away from Hong Kong, Kingship Marine Limited specializes in building steel and aluminum luxury yachts to Lloyds and MCA standards. Their yard in the Pearl River Delta District can build up seven megayachts at once from 90 to 164 feet.
Kingship’s new Ocean SUV Series combines the features of a luxury yacht with an expedition yacht in three models: the Kingship Ocean SUV 90, the Kingship Ocean SUV 116, and the Kingship Ocean SUV 150. Providing safe, economical, and long range capabilities, the Ocean SUV also allows for low maintenance requirements, comfort, storage, and interior layouts geared to global passage. Low in fuel consumption, these luxury yachts are built for the long haul exemplified by the 9,500 nautical mile range in the Kingship Ocean SUV 150.
A custom long-range luxury yacht, the Columbus 90 was engineered by Vripack with wide side decks and spacious interiors. Handling a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots and max speed at 12 knots, the Columbus 90 features robust mechanical and safety features.
At 139 feet with a trans-Pacific range, Kingship’s Essence design features a completely private master deck with full-beam master suite showcasing low windows, sliding roof over the master bed, and its own 360-degree forward facing balcony. She will meet RINA Green Plus certification requirement, exhibiting minimal environmental impact in her construction and operation.
The Kingship 150, with her plumb bow and generous circular port lights on the forward main deck, showcases a collaboration with Donald Starkey and Azure Naval Architects that maximizes interior space within the 500 GT restriction. The larger Kingship DS156 is a semi-custom yacht, and the 246-foot “Arctic Whale” is Kingship’s largest concept project to date. “Arctic Whale” is a curvy, globetrotting vessel with an ice-class hull and appropriate systems and considerations for traveling long range in the world’s most remote regions. It can be delivered in 2014. In 2009, Kingship introduced the world’s first hybrid green yacht under 164 feet, “Green Voyager,” a combination of luxurious comfort and environmental consideration in 144 feet.
