Lou’s earliest boating memory was sailing in some wild weather with her older brother, aboard the family Mirror. Terrified, she swore she’d never go back. As with most Aussies, however, the beach was her second home so avoiding it was futile, and she was soon enrolled at the local yacht club, and later took to surfing, windsurfing, sailing her own boats and diving. Water toys are still a feature of her life and she loves trying new ones and new adventures. Her sales career wound up with some years in tourism and destination sales and marketing, and opened the floodgate to travel and globetrotting adventures.

While the ink was still drying on her divorce documents, she headed to France and jumped on the first yacht as crew. Lying about her ability to cook (any idiot can follow a recipe!) she boarded a modern classic sailing yacht for her first Atlantic crossing, and never looked back. With many thousands of sea miles under her belt, she became a captain, undertook engineering studies, and surprised almost everyone in her family with her cooking prowess. Eventually, the adoption of a fur-child lead her to a wanting a life back on land and yacht sales was an obvious direction. A move to the USA was prompted by an employer and she has managed to expand her cruising experience stateside, as well as developing brokerage and charter experience and knowledge. CPYB certified, she understands the journey involved in making dreams afloat come true, and is there to navigate that journey through every tack with her clients whether it be purchasing the perfect yacht, or planning the ultimate adventure on a charter.
